I feel like this tool need more force( like more kick) when retracting the nail. It often gets stuck with the rusted nails in old hard wood. It works well with smooth nail in soft woods.

I recently picked up some pallets that I just could not break down with my pallet busters. When I finally got the boards off, all the 3" twisted nails were still in the stringers. I was able to pull them using a long heavy wrecking bar but was harder work than I wanted. After a search on Amazon I found the Air Nail Puller. I works great. Pulled about a hundred nails in just a few minutes. But now and then I hit a really stubborn nail and the claw on the pulled just stopped and stuck about half way through the pulling cycle.
