So the mat is great, works as advertised, nice and heavy so it doesn't slip but dear lord the smell! I opened it up and left it on the table, I noticed a slight smell but it increased more and more. My husband actually thought it was a burning wire because the smell was so close! We went nuts until we realized that it was the mat! It is not sitting outside until the smell dissipates.

Excellent quality work mat. I use this on a workbench to protect the surface and also allow cutting. The mat is thick and well-made, really does self-heal with cuts, and is probably one of the best values I have seen for a mat of this type.

Adult daughter just started sewing and seems to really enjoy it. Since I use to sew and once I purchased one of these large cutting mats for myself years ago, thought she'll love this. Turns out she does! Momma knows best!

Love this! I needed a good cutting surface for my sewing room, but I didn't want a fold out one due to the lines that can cause roller cut issues. This came in perfect condition and is firm enough to provide a cutting surface, but has the reflex material so that there aren't marks and cuts from regular use!
