First, I want to say that these came in a nice box and they were all individually wrapped which made it easy for me to give as gifts to friends. I kept a few for myself as well. Love the presentation and the different styles of the hair pins. Definitely for decorative purposes on a basic daily hairstyle. Super cute!

Whichever clip you choose, you will not find that you need pliers to open the clip--an experience I have had with products.
