Nicer than expected
The spool is plastic and body all metal the reel is nicer than expected and is functional, the pole is great , Im happy this can go in your trunk and you will always be able to fish at a moments notice. Also great as a permanent carry in your backpack. It's very compact

Spend a little more for quality
Not sure about the reel, but the pole is a piece of junk. When I removed it from the package and it's container,
the pole came apart from the holder.
A very portable and excellent Pole.
This product exceeds my expectations. Glass and carbon fiber Construction down to the size of a pen. It performs equally to or exceeds the performance of my best Poles. I am also impressed with the quality of the real. This will be my new go-to fishing pole.
